Piano Lessons
Get to know Liudmila...
I have made music a part of my life since the age of five, when I began playing piano. I earned a Masters Degree from Krasnoyarsk State Institute of Fine Arts Russia, staying on following graduation as an Assistant Professor. From St. Petersburg Theological Academy, Russia, I earned a 1st Degree Diploma in Church Music and Choir Conducting. Then came a Master Degree in Piano Performance and Piano Pedagogy from Michigan State University under the direction of Albertine and Ralph Votapek and Dr. Midori Koga. My professional experience includes extensive solo performances both in Russia and the United States. I have accompanied numerous artists, including Dimitry Hvorostovsky, theater productions, and choral groups.
I have performed with and directed choirs and served as a freelance correspondent for both newspaper and radio. In the greater Lansing area, I am known as a soloist, accompanist, chamber musician, and teacher. I frequently perform at the Turner Dodge Historical Mansion (pictured above) during their social events and was featured in their commercial video production. In addition to my Assistant Professorship at the Institute of Fine Arts, Russia, I have served as a graduate assistant at MSU and taught at Battle Creek Kellogg Community College. Currently I teach through the MSU Community Music School and at Lansing Community College. I enjoy helping and working with students of any age and ability.
